Happy Friday everyone - for those new, welcome to Coastal Recruiting’s weekly candidate spotlight - where we share the top candidate’s we’re working with – from brilliant engineers to top-notch product managers, we’re continuously helping A+ players find their next role in emerging tech.

Founding Engineer (AI/ML)

• Founding Engineer / Eng Manger @ GleanAI (joined ~10 employees) where he initially focused on building a lot of their core backend architecture, then owning the infrastructure needed to build models around data collection, data cleaning, architecture, experimentation.

• He's done a lot of work to build and serve models - most of his focus has been on NLP. Currently leads AI development for the Glean Assistant. 

• After seeing Glean scale, he’s interested to get back into a 0-1 startup environment where he can be an instrumental early engineer with significant impact and ownership 

Founding Engineer (Web3)

• As a previous web3 Founder, building a Perp Dex that reached $25M in Liquidity and $1million in daily trading volume (which wound up selling), this candidate is now looking to join an early-stage web3 startup

• As a true full-stack engineer, this candidate is keen to work with a team / project developing directly on-chain - ideally being one of the earliest engineers in the company

Sr Product Manager (Web3 / Web2)

• With long tenures at Aptos and Dapper Labs as a Sr PM, she has strong experience building products (and product roadmaps) focused on developer ecosystem growth

• At Top Shots, she managed a cross-functional team on NBA Top-Shots and at Aptos, is solely focused on the dapp strategy for the broader Aptos ecosystem for their core verticals (gamefi + DeFi)

• Prior to web3, she has strong experience leading product at companies like Pinterest, Pocket Gems and Twitch

Founding Engineer (AI/ML)

• This candidate has the perfect mix of start-up / founding + FAANG experience. She founded her own AI startup - Census AI - which is an AI observability platform for enterprise ML teams. 

• She owned all product and technical decisions, and led engineering to design and build out the product.

• Previously, she worked at Amazon Music and ML Engineer - owned development of deep learning models, and led a team of 5 other engineers to build item-to-item embeddings.

• After making the tough decision to sunset her startup, she’s looking to join and early stage startup (ideally seed or  Series A) innovating in AI/ML to help drive the roadmap and deliver / execute

Sr Frontend Engineer (Web3)

• As a Sr Front Engineering Lead at Dapper Labs, this candidate has been owning the front-end development of the NBA Top Shot marketplace 

• Proficient in React and GraphQL, this candidate is a very strong FE engineer and is passionate about the web3 space

• He’s looking to join an early-stage web3 startup that will provide him more exposure to the DeFi side of the blockchain space

Also - is anyone else still recovering from EthDenver last week? Or is that just me. Such a great time with old (and new web3) friends - the energy was palpable and I look forward to growing relationships with builders in the crypto space.
