Happy Friday, and happy new year! For those new, Coastal Recruiting’s weekly candidate spotlight highlights top technical talent actively interviewing searching for a startup opportunity. • Personally shaped and heavily contributed to large scale recommendation and personalization architecture 

• Been staff @ Uber for 3+ years; prev Staff Eng @ Google, leading a team to design, build, and launch next-gen shopping and recommendation system

• Looking to get back into a role where he can help build and scale an AI-driven startup org

• MS & BS, CS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Sr Full-Stack & Smart Contract Engineer

• Currently Staff SWE @ Coinbase, prev Sr SWE @ Meta

• Through and through full-stack engineer; mobile, infra, front-end, back-end 

• Has build scalable, backend infrastructure for one of the largest retailer crypto trading platforms - with a keen interest /speciality in mobile development and software design 

• Looking to join an early-stage crypto startup where he can expanded ownership and ability to quickly see projects, and products, to completion 

Sr AI/ML Engineer 

• Recently Head of Research @ Kaiber, spearheading roadmap and diffusion models 

• She heavily contributed to video generation and building model components, derisking strategies and deployment models - including testing and model maintenance 

• Previously Applied Scientists @ AWS

• Actively looking for her next startup where she can have more ownership and influence of product roadmap 

• PhD in CS, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Sr Full-Stack Engineer 

• Currently Sr. Tech Lead @ Asana, with 10+ years of experience having been a Staff Engineer at Linkedin

• Designs and develops next-gen communication platforms (Typescript, Scala, React, AWS) with a focus on scalability and availability to support large enterprise users

• At LinkedIn, he led a Platform Re-Architecture at Staff Engineer - designing and developing communication platform 

• MS, CS from NYU

Full-Stack Engineer & AI/ML Engineer 

• Currently SWE @ Airbnb, prev @ Amazon

• Currently led design and implementation work at Airbnb - with a focus on BE work, where he’s built and released media backend service for their AI-powered photo tour headliner feature.

• At Amazon, he worked on the Consumer Robotics team (Lab 126)

• Looking to get into an early-stage AI startup where he can have more influence and see more scale

• BS & MS in CS from UC San Diego 

Sr Full-Stack Engineer 

• Kleiner Perkins Fellow and currently SWE @ Stripe on the Link (digital wallet) engineering team. 

• At Stipe, led scaled rollout of instant ACH/pay by bank features from 200 merchants to 12,000. Also, he had internships with Citadel, Amazon, Stripe, and Sieve Data. From high school through college, he founded and ran Athlos Live, where he was granted 4 patents

• Keen to join an early-stage startup / team where he can expanded impact and accountability 

• BS, CS Berkley 

Senior/Staff Full-Stack Engineer

• After seeing two companies go from 0-1 (first at ZipRecruiter and now at Joblist, as CTO), he’s looking to get back into a startup where he can be on the front-lines, building products, and contributing to a team where he can get his hands dirty. 

• Built a large majority of the global, core infrastructure at Joblist and at ZipRecruiter - with experience both on the Consumer products and Enterprise products. 

• He's been the first engineer, and has hired / scaled hundreds of engineers. After 4 years at Joblist he's ready to get in on the ground floor again with a mission and team that excited him.
