Coastal Recruiting - Engineering Candidate Spotlight, April 12

T1 engineers for Seed / Series A startups (AI/ML, Full Stack, Web3)

Happy Friday everyone, we made it to another drop of Coastal Recruiting’s weekly candidate recap where we highlight engineers we’re working with across the stack. Our sole focus is helping build engineering teams for VC-backed teams, focusing on AI/ML, blockchain, fintech and enterprise/consumer SaaS.

For all you hiring managers out there, reminder you should never assume you’re the sole startup an engineer is interviewing with. No matter how strong of a team / company / cap table, time and time again we see the best engineering talent get swept up by companies who simply move quicker during their interview process. Best practices:

  • From start to finish, the interview process should be 4 steps. Max.

  • Be decisive (get to a fast yes or no) and limit the time between each step in the process (intro screen, technical, onsite, etc), verbal offer, offer letter

  • Ideally the end-to-end interview process should be done in a 2-3 week span

Without further ado, peep the profiles below! Pass this along to anyone you know hiring.
