Each week we highlight the profiles of the top talent we’re working with — with a blend between NYC and SF. If any of the below profiles catch your eye, don’t hesitate to reply directly to this email, send them to a portco or founder-friend building their eng team

  1. Back End/Full Stack Engineer (NYC)

    • Holds an undergraduate degree from MIT and a Master’s from Cornell; he co-founded his first YC-backed startup in 2015, then moved to big tech for experience, followed by several startup ventures.

    • Most recently the co-founder and CTO of Nophin, where he led product engineering and grew the team to 8 engineers; unfortunately, the startup is winding down as it couldn't secure Series A funding. He has extensive experience in building products from 0-1 and engaging with customers.

    • Strongest in backend development but proficient across the stack (TypeScript, Python, Nest, React); he seeks a role in a startup with strong traction and product-market fit, ideally focused on AI, where he can contribute to both the technical and business sides while working with motivated individuals. He is available to start interviewing by the end of November.

  2. Front End/Full Stack Engineer (NYC)

    • He is an excellent communicator and highly skilled Senior Engineer with over seven years of experience leading Fullstack + FE teams at Vettery and Ro

    • He successfully launched front-end teams from 0-1 at Hired, prior to its acquisition by Vettery, and at Ro, he built and optimized a health task management system that significantly improved efficiency, contributing over $6.3 million in annual profit.

    • Proficient in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes, Sandeep is targeting startups in the Seed to Series B stages; he seeks opportunities to grow his career, push boundaries, and learn alongside designers and product managers, leveraging his strong CS degree from Michigan.

  3. Back End/ML/Infra Engineer (NYC)

    • An MIT graduate, he is known for his ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt; his top motivations include having a purpose-driven job with a clear sense of direction, and he is open to various domains while enjoying the flexibility to work across the stack as a startup engineer.

    • Started at Wisper AI as an early eng, working across backend and ML teams on business-facing web applications, before moving to LogicLoop as employee #3, where he collaborated directly with customers to enhance user experiences. Most recently, he was the first employee at a MIT-founded startup, where he made a significant impact across the stack and infrastructure.

  4. Full Stack/ML Engineer (SF)

    • She holds a Master’s from Cornell and is currently at seed-stage AI fintech startup, where she has built architecture from 0-1 and conducted research to improve accuracy; she seeks an on-site culture with a smart team.

    • Experienced in full stack development with Python and React, she is open to continuing full stack work, particularly in AI-heavy products; her background includes a blend of ML roles focused on large language models (LLMs) and experience at early-stage startups.

    • Has previous experience as a Founding Engineer at an early-stage Healthtech startup

  5. Back End/Full Stack Engineer (SF)

    • Currently a Senior Software Engineer at Loom for 2.5 years, she has stayed on after the company’s acquisition by Atlassian; she is leading a significant project launching this month but is looking for high-impact opportunities at early-stage startups.

    • With over 7 years of software engineering experience, she is a full-stack generalist with a strong focus on backend systems; previously, she was a Founding Engineer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, working on full-stack systems for education initiatives, and served as CTO of the Hot Plate project during her time at Northwestern.

    • She seeks a role that offers ownership and impact across multiple areas of the product, prefers fast-paced environments where she can build products from 0-1, and is interested in continuing full-stack work with a strong backend or system-level focus; proficient in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with additional experience in Ruby and Python.

  6. ML Infra/Back End Engineer (SF)

    • Recently hired as the Backend Tech Lead at well-funded Series B AI startup, he took over all infrastructure work, rebuilt the product infrastructure, and contributed to backend development, focusing on RAG, inference, and ML infrastructure.

    • He developed a platform that enabled the migration of AI agents to the cloud and primarily writes backend code in TypeScript and Python, which he considers his strongest languages.

    • Based in San Francisco, he is exclusively looking to join a startup; he is passionate about AI and eager to expand his knowledge while helping to lead and scale machine learning infrastructure.

Give me a shout if any of the profiles catch your eye!
